History

Channel Source was founded in 1999 by a group of consumer product executives to address a service “gap” at retail. Retailers and suppliers were having a problem completing category resets and updates of complex categories in a timely manner. Retailers and suppliers needed a skilled labor source, specifically trained to complete SKU-intensive cosmetic resets within the limited time frame dictated by marketing cycles and promotions. For the retailer, using an in-store resource to complete these updates detracted it from focusing on store activities and providing customer service. For the supplier, this process stretched resources, which caused missed appointments and resulted in costly follow-up calls to complete past-due sets.

We offer our clients a quickly-available resource to address this challenge. After incorporating in 2002, we diversified our services beyond the area of cosmetics. We applied our capabilities to other categories with similar needs: HBC, Produce, Grocery, Schools Supplies, Electronics, Housewares, Gaming, Beverages and Music.

During the past 10 years, our associates have worked with leaders on both sides of the aisle, both retailer and supplier. Our client list includes such industry leaders as Walmart, Target, Kmart, CVS, Rite Aide, Walgreens, Publix, Albertsons, Revlon, L’Oreal, Maybelline, Sally Hansen, NYC, Iman, Rx for Brown Skin, NYC and others.
